One of the hard truths about a Tummy Tuck surgery is that there will be a scar left behind. Whether you have a traditional Tummy Tuck of a modified version dictates what your scar will look like. Your scar will fade over time. It can take upwards of one year, if not more, for it to become less visible, but you can accelerate the reduction of the scar.

STEP 1: Remove the product from its package. For proper coverage, we recommend not altering the product’s size; use scissors to trim the product only if necessary.
STEP 2: Peel away the plastic protective liner and save it for later use. Place the product “sticky side” down, directly on the scarred area. Scarred area must be completely healed before applying. Keep the product in place for at least 12 hours and up to 23 hours per day.
STEP 3: At least once a day, wash the scarred area and both sides of the product with soap and warm water. Do not use a soap that contains moisturizers, lotions or oils. Bio Med Sciences’ Silicone Gel Cleanser is recommended for maintaining optimal performance. Rinse the product thoroughly to remove all traces of soap. Allow the product to air dry or you may apply Oleeva to your skin or other clean surface while still wet and blot-dry the back surface with a lint free cloth or towel. Between uses, store the product on the plastic protective liner.
SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Do not use creams, lotions or ointments with this product as they may interfere with the performance of the product and/or cause skin irritation.
PRECAUTION:
As with any topical material applied directly to the skin’s surface, some type of reaction (usually a sweat rash) is possible. Stop using the product if you have a reaction. After your skin has returned to normal, you may reapply the product for short periods and gradually increase the hours of usage. Monitor the scarred area for signs of reaction. Continue to increase the wearing time until a comfortable maximum has been reached. If you continue to have a problem, stop use and consult your physician.
